2008 CARNIVAL RECAP:

The Wachovia Center was packed once again for the 31st Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival, held on Sunday, February 24, 2008.  Over 6,000 fans attended one of the largest sports fundraisers in the country and had the chance to meet their favorite Flyers, Phantoms and Alumni.  Some were lucky enough to player our new interactive games with players, such as Guitar Hero, Dance Revolution and Gladiator Joust!

Past favorites, such as the Dunk Tank, Alumni Row, Stanley Cup Booth and various Carnival games made it fun for the entire family.  Free exhibits such as the Danny Briere replica locker stall and the Comcast SportsNet mock-up desk were a big hit too!

For the first time in Carnival history, a special Locker Room Tour sponsorship package was added, giving groups of 20 a private tour of the exclusive area.  Another first was that the ever-popular Flyers Wives Carnival program book Rebels For A Cause was given out free to all attendees.  The theme of this year's book was players and their pets!

The team-autographed Harley Davidson 883 Sportster was won by Russell Palmer.

Over the past 31 years, the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation has raised over $20 million to benefit area youth organizations and various healthcare initiatives.  Click here for our list of past beneficiaries.
